Being a MOM...

There are a number of things a person can prepare for: college, dinner, Christmas.
But NOTHING can prepare you for being a MOM.
It is- by far- the most amazing job in the world.
WHY?
Well, yes I am on call 24/7, but my little man believes I can fix all his problems.
He believes my kisses help his ouchies to feel better.
He looks to me for approval and then proceeds with excitement.
I can get a laugh or at least a smile with a little work.
I can get some serious giggles with a bit more work.
I no longer can forget about what's for dinner, because I need to have something for my little man.
I need to make sure my house is somewhat clean because my son will eat whatever is on the floor.
Life is more work and responsibility but it is so much more rewarding too.

I have always wanted to be a mom.
And now I am.

When I am exhausted, overwhelmed, feeling hopeless or just plain DONE, I just have to stop and think about my boy. Think about how I am here right now- in my dream come true.
