Well you have heard the expression, there is a first for everything! And let me tell you some of them are pretty scary! We are not talking about a life-threatening event. No, for that I'm pretty sure that adrenaline kicks in and just helps you react. We are talking one of those events that you sit and watch it happen and then ask yourself- did that just happen?
We were giving Drew a bath last night. He is getting pretty good at standing up in the middle of bath time, so we try to clean "those areas" while he is up and then sit him back down. I had no idea that something else was brewing inside his little mind.
After we were all done, all clean, Drew stands up and starts making a face and sounds. We realize what is happening but not sure what to do. I suggest holding him over the toilet. Tim takes him out of his little duck tub and sticks him in the real tub. Not 3 seconds later it is all over. We see a little yellow on the tub floor and think- hmm was it a hard pee? Then you keep looking and there it is. A little log. Our first tub poop. I am sure there will be many more- but they should know they are not welcome! They make a lot more work for mommy and daddy. We had to re-clean him because he had started while sitting in water- there was a brown mark to prove it.
Not only then, but then we had to sterilize the toys, tub and anything else that came in contact with the feces!
We survived. I picked it up with toilet paper and flushed it.
Tim couldn't stand the smell.
Who know a little baby boy could do something like that?
Make sure you are archiving all of this, just in case Drew turns out like his old man. You used to poop in tubs too Tim! I'm sure it didn't stink, but still.
ReplyDeleteWow, you got to love stories like that. That will be be fun to share with Drew when he gets older!
