Soooooo cute.

So I work Mondays. That makes for a very long Monday. I get up and feed Drew, change his diaper and put him back down for a small nap. This can happen any where from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Then I either get ready for work or go back to bed until the very last minute. At which time, I get up and hurry to get out the door. The sooner I get to work, the sooner I can get home to my little bundle of joy.

And at the end of my work day, I find I am re-energized as soon as I see him.

As I walk in the door, I need to put the milk I pumped at work away and then I can devote all my attention to Drew. We play a little and before I know it, it is time to make his dinner. We mix formula with rice cereal until it has a consistency of mush. He likes it just fine. He eats and makes a little mess- which I don't bother to clean until he is finished. He usually gets angry when I clean him off and then we go up stairs.

The "real" wipe down happens at this point in time or a bath. He gets a bath every other day, so it is hit or miss if Monday nights include this portion of the nightly routine. Once we are done with that, I change the diaper and put him in pjs.

Now it is book time. I try to read to him and he tries to eat the books. It is a fun enough game that we play. Depending on how tired he is, I can get through 1 to 7 books. And the books are so simple and fun I have most of them memorized.

Then I feed him. First I nurse him and then I give him a supplemental bottle. He usually can go through an additional 3 oz. but tonight he just opened his mouth, spread out his arms and fell asleep. He has never just fallen asleep like that before. He must have been so tired. I tried burping him but he just kept his head on my shoulder, arms spread around me (almost like he was hugging me) and kept on snoozing.

There is something about a warm baby asleep in your arms that just makes my heart melt. I love his smell. I love the way he feels. I love him! When I finally laid him down in his crib, he didn't move.
I don't normally let him fall asleep in my arms, but there was nothing I could do tonight. So I enjoyed every bit of it and tried to just memorize every detail.

In case you didn't know, I LOVE being a mommy.
