Jelly Belly

So, it is not secret (at least not any more) that I have a little bit of soft belly. I didn't use to. In fact, before Drew, my stomach was nice. (not that I recognized that)

Anyway, why do you need to know that? I do have a point.

The other day I was letting Drew gently smack my belly to show him how it moves a little.
He smacks it and laughs. Then I laugh.

And so I asked him what his belly did after he smacked it.
He pulled up his shirt. Took his hand ever so gently and gave his tummy a good smack.
Sure enough, it stayed perfectly still.

He looked up at me and said, "mom, my belly not jiggle. your belly does jiggle. my belly big and strong like a brick."

Really? Like a brick?

So in order to feel a little better, I asked him if he daddy's belly jiggled.
I sat back and laughed as I listened to Drew ask his daddy if he could see his belly.
