My little bookworm!

Drew is 22 months old. Many men find it amusing that women refer to their children's age by months.
What does that have to do with bookworms?

Well, I'll just put it out there. I'll just say it so that you don't have to read between the lines.

MY SON IS A GENIUS!

Yes, I am biased. Yes, I will be his biggest fan. I am his mother, that is my job.
But tonight he truly demonstrated some of his brilliance.

Drew has over 50 books in his room. (Mostly thanks to his mom-mom.) But 50 books is a lot. I look through the pile and know we have read all of them! Not only have we read all of them but we have read them over and over again. Tim and I probably know most by heart!
-I know what you are thinking, how is our ability to remember children's books have anything to do with our son being smart?-

I'll tell you.

I asked Drew to get the surprise book. He walked over to his closet and pulled out the yellow book.
I asked him to get goodnight dog. He yelled yey (b/c this book is currently our favorite because of the alarm clock sound) and brought it right to me.
Then I said, can you find Drummer Hoff? Took him a bit but he found it and brought it to me.

(We pick out our books ahead of time and make a big pile. He likes to line them up.)

Next I asked for Clifford. This was a bit tricky because you had to pull out the book in order to see it. I helped him pull out books to look at the covers to find the one he was looking for. He did this a couple more times.

I was pretty excited...but a little nervous. At this rate, he is going to be smarter than me by age 36 months (that is 3 for you men that can't do the math.) :0
