Elmo- our new family member

Drew likes Elmo. They have a very special relationship. What do I mean by special?
Well, Drew loves to hug, kiss and read to Elmo but Elmo is not allowed in his crib. Drew gets mad when Elmo is in the crib and he gets up to throw him out!

So, as any good mom would do, I use Elmo to my advantage. Say I want Drew to do something, well I pick up Elmo and have him do it. I talk to Elmo and say how great he is doing and the next thing you know, Drew is doing it too! So, I make sure to give Drew praise too!
It is pretty helpful!

And sometimes Drew even starts the cleaning up process with Elmo without me.
I have found them both sitting in a chair looking at books. Elmo gets to share Drew's juice and milk.

Well I do have a point. The other night I was playing with Elmo and Drew and I had Elmo all over Drew's head, tickling him. I kept telling Elmo to stop but he would tickle Drew again! I thought it was cute but then Tim helped me realize I was actually teaching Drew that not obeying was funny and okay. (This parent business really requires you to think ahead!) So I did what I had to and spanked Elmo. Then Elmo and I had a talk and we kissed.

Drew was in shock. He face got really sad. Then he took Elmo, looked him in the eye and said, "No, No, No!" Then he spanked him.

Umm...where is the rewind button?
