Can you do me a favor?

Today Drew and I went out to get some fresh air.
We (meaning I) thought that we (meaning I again) would rake some leaves and then let Drew jump in them.
It would be good exercise for me, fun for Drew and helpful for Tim, since the lawn work is mostly one of his duties.

I looked outside and started to get ready. I got my shoes on. I got Drew's shoes on. We got our jackets and zipped up! Stepped out side and thought- well it wasn't really that cold outside but I was committed to getting to work knowing that my time was limited.

So I started raking. Got a nice size pile when I realized that I was getting too warm. I asked Drew to do me a favor. He was busy - riding his bike, riding his motorcycle, getting a drink... But I asked him for a favor. He asked me what was a favor? I explained to him that it is when you do something for someone to help them.
I'm not going to lie, Drew said no.
I did ask him again and this time was a little more convincing.
He did me a favor...which was to take my jacket back to the house while I continue raking.

Because after all I was raking so Drew could jump into the pile and enjoy Fall!

So I continued getting some exercise- made a pile as tall as Drew, which didn't even leave a dent in the yard.

Then as I keep working and Drew riding his bikes, he runs up to me and asks me to do him a favor.
I say, Drew I am working here for YOU! You can take your jacket to the house.
He tells me that he did me a favor and now I owe him.
WHAT????

What did I do? I took his jacket back to the house.
I'm his mom. That is my job and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

BTW- anyone want some raking time, let me know!
