Drew and I were upstairs cleaning. Well I was reorganizing the drawers and he was timing himself while doing puzzles. There is something about seeing how long it takes to do something that makes what ever it is he is doing seem alright. (If you have a 4-year old, I highly recommend it.) Might even work on some husbands.
Anyway, I was just about done when I noticed that the walls all seemed so dirty from about my waist down. Hmmm
So, I went and got a wipe and started getting rid of some sort of unknown substance that didn't resist a wet towel. As I am doing this, I see Drew immediately drawn to me.
Mom- what are you doing?
Cleaning bud, why? You want to help?
Before I hear an answer I see his little body walk over to the wipes, grab one, leave the box open and begin to peruse the walls. He is slightly talking to himself and thus, very satisfied.
I go off to clean some other things...then I am done and ready to go down stairs. I had told him he could watch a show after we finished cleaning. So I remind him we can head down and watch his show and he says, Just a minute, I am still cleaning. (and he continues talking to himself).
Wow! Really?
Cleaning is more fun that t.v.?
I guess I need to get more dirt in my house.
Oh how I know this won't last...it is probably a 4-year old phase...but on the off chance it is not, I am going to have the cleanest walls in the world!
