Very Literal

I'm sure most 3 year olds are literal. The phrase "you said" is probably very common.

We seem to have a real need to be literal with the word poop.

The other day I was driving and told Drew I was pooped. It hit me and I really was tired. He immediately asked me if I just pooped in the car. I said no. He said, you need to hold it mom.
Hmm, I then tried to explain to him that I did not need to poop nor did I just poop, but that it is an expression of being tired. And then I gave up. Who wants a kid telling people that I pooped?

Think we are done w/ poop? Nope.

Drew heard the expression party pooper. He tells me that means you poop on someone's head.
Umm, no. Where did you get that idea. We explained that a party pooper is someone who is grouchy...and that it was NEVER okay to poop on someone's head.

I hope we are all out of poop here!!!
