Well, I guess we are too far along on the potty training path to turn back now.
BUT
I can remember the good days! Diapers aren't all that bad. Yes, they cost more than underwear, but what you save in diaper costs you pay for in laundry, patience, and nap time.
Not that I'm complaining. Drew has pretty much got the hang of it except for POOP!
You know, the messiest part of diaper changing.
Maybe one day I will miss wiping his cute little bum.
But not today.
And another thing, I'm pretty sure that kids know they can use the "I have to go potty" card to get out of any situation they just don't feel like dealing with.
For example, how is it that Drew had to pee 4 times during his less than 2 hour nap? Every half hour? But then once it is "daytime", he can go 2 hours without going at all. Guess he peed it all out during nap time.
Oh the joys and messes of potty training.
And do NOT get me started on how boys have to keep "it" down so as not to shower the rest of the room with the stuff that makes snow yellow.
:)
You mean he doesn't sit to pee??
ReplyDeleteI say use diapers at nap and bedtime... Will just turned 4 and still wears a diaper at night. I am so not interested in the whole trying to limit his liquid intake from 5 pm on and then worrying if I'm going to be up at 2 am to change his sheets. No way, I'll pay the $10 for the piece of mind that comes with putting him in a diaper at night :) Good luck with the training! It's amazing how bad their aim is sometimes... I find pee all over the bathroom wall and underneath our pedestal sink also.... boys!!
ReplyDeleteYou make me glad that I'm only having girls.
