Drew's grandparents bought him fish.
Two at first, and then they had to go back to the store and then there were four.
Although Drew was convinced there were five.
Well as it goes, fish die. We were at four and then down to three.
I had to decide if I was going to hide this from Drew or just tell him the truth.
I decided the truth was the best (especially since they were just fish). This would be a good test to see how he handled loss.
I told him a fish died and pulled him out with a net and gently placed him in the trash.
Drew kept looking at it.
I said, "Drew the fish died."
He said, "No, it dive".
Umm..what does that even mean?
So now he is convinced that one fish dived.
And then there were three.
