Consent to Monitoring

We have a camera is Drew's room.
It has been one of the best investments!
When he was a baby, I could watch him move and know he was alive without going in there and waking him up.
We could see if he was crying and really upset or just trying to get out of sleeping.
But now, it is AWESOME!

The other night we watched Drew grab a standing fan next to his bed and push all the buttons. It wasn't the type of fan you can stick your fingers into, so we weren't worried for his safety...but still he knows he isn't allowed to play with it.
So Tim got up and went into his room. I stayed downstairs to "watch" the show.

I saw our little boys drop like a bag of potatoes and cover his face with his pillow. He stayed completely still while Tim went in there. Tim still told him not to play with the fan (then he moved it) and left.

Next, we see Drew licking his crib. He is acting like it is a giant ice cream cone. So Tim gets up again and goes in there. (I watch again.) Tim tells him no licking the crib and go to bed.
Tim comes back downstairs and we both just laugh.

Well, tonight we are watching Drew play for over an hour in his crib with his crew of animals. He is having a great time but it is BED TIME! So Tim walks in there (and I watch) and he tells Drew time for bed.

Drew says, "Dad, turn off camera."

I hope he doesn't grow up to be paranoid.
