I've been bamboozeled!

Tim usually puts Drew to bed.
We've kind of done it that way for a long time.
It gives them time to bond and me time to catch up on cooking or cleaning something.

I will say Tim is very efficient when it comes to putting Drew down. Seriously, 3 minutes and he's out of there.

Well, I am another story.
I put Drew down last night. As I'm getting ready to actually put him in his crib, Drew asks me to lie down. He points to the ground and says, "lie down".
How could I not?
I lied down next to the crib and reached in the crib to hold Drew's hand.
He lied down and held my hand...
and then slowly started to take his hand out of mind and replace it with his stuffed monkey.

So now I am on the floor, reaching my hand up in the crib and holding a monkey's hand.
While Drew is standing up playing.

Wait a minute, I agreed to hold Drew's hand- not his monkey's!
